On a very hot day 27c+ temperature the County ladies Past Captains and the Northamptonshire Golf Captains battled it out over the Whittlebury Parks Yellow – Red course, competitive yet friendly, format BB/ Stableford.
Greens staff presented us with course in good condition, greens perhaps a little slow due the very heavy rain earlier in the week.
Both teams fielded strong pairings, scoring well as you can see from the results sheet.
Post match meal. Two course Chicken and Leak pie Mash potatoes and green beans followed by fresh fruit salad with fresh cream + Ice cream.
Best Ladies score: - 44pts Marlene Roy (Overstone) & Sue Colby, (Whittlebury) A fantastic score helped by local knowledge.
Best Mens score: - 45pts Richard Cole (Oundle) & Colin White (Overstone)
