Countback success for Wellingborough duo

Wellingborough duo Glenn Harris and Ricky Sanders won the NGL Seniors Pairs Open on countback from two pairings after bagging 40 points at Brampton Heath.
In the first seniors county competition since the COVID-19 lockdown, the key to their success was consistency over the closing stretch as they parred every hole on the back nine.
Ted Dunn (Peterborough Milton) and Dennis Mathers (Northampton) were runners-up from Kingsthorpe’s Tim Johnson and Steve Townsend, although both pairings will feel they missed out on the top prize after picking up just one point on the 18th hole.
