Hawkins and Smith retain NGL Seniors Pairs Open title

David Hawkins and Gary Smith were once again the duo to catch in the NGL Seniors Pairs Open as they clinched the title for the second consecutive year at Brampton Heath GC.

The Northants County pair carded 10 net birdies in a total of 44 points to finish two ahead of runners-up Staverton Park’s Greg Young and Bill Marks.

Kingsthorpe’s Dale Betts, who finished third last year with Bill Reynolds, claimed another podium spot alongside new partner Mark O’Neill on 41.
