Northants County Take The Honours at Women's County Championship

Grey skies threatened as 31 of the county’s top women golfers teed off for the Women’s County Championship at Wellingborough on 5th May.  Nevertheless, the course looked glorious as the weather cleared through the day.

Both Gross and Net competitions were closely fought with one shot separating first and second in each. Two of Northamptonshire’s promising young women took the top prizes. 

The 2023 Women’s County Champion is Lila Bisset from Northants County who held on to a first-round lead and shot 161.  The Swannell Salver for best net score went to Olivia Holyoak-Chuch from the same club with 154.

A new team prize was introduced this year for the club with the best three individual scores This went to Lila Bisset, Olivia Holyoak-Church and Harriet Bilson of Northants County.
