The 3rd team match at Penn G.C.  on 19th May 2016 against Staffs. was a 4BBB game with many of the ladies from Staffs being a lot lower handicaps than the Northamptonshire ladies. The result was a win for Staffs. 5 and half to 2 and a half.

 

It was a great delight to see one of our Past Presidents Pam Giles playing in this match with Mary Ganley and it just shows that no matter what handicap or age you are you can still compete. Pam and Mary won their match 2 and 1. The other points came from Paula Simpson and a last minute replacement Sandy Burgess who won 1 up and Angela Crawley and Lin Birch from Kingsthorpe managed a half.

 

The other ladies taking part were Yvonne Jolly, Nollaig Donegan, Kath Mumford ,Shirley Swan,Linda Johnson,Gill Leppard, Chris Skelton,Carol Clifford and Juliette Parish. This fixture is only in its second year and most of these ladies have handicaps between 25 and 36, it was a pleasure to see everyone enjoying themselves even when it started to rain towards the end.
