This is the official website of the Northamptonshire Golf Limited, an affiliation of the 23 golf clubs in the county of Northamptonshire, England.  It covers golf clubs from Cherwell Edge GC on the western border of the county to Peterborough Milton GC in the northeast of the County.  The full range of golf clubs is covered from private members clubs to proprietory and resort golf clubs.  In total there are around 8,000 golfers who are members of the County through membership of their golf club.

The objectives of the Northamptonshire Golf Limited are designed to further the interests of amateur golf in the county of Northamptonshire by

  • Arranging on its own account or in conjunction with other golfing bodies golf competitions and leagues for individuals and affiliated clubs
  • Assisting in the administration of the CONGU Unified Handicapping System
  • Acting as the central authority on all questions concerning golf within the county and
  • Acting as a liaison between affiliated clubs and the governing bodies of golf in England.

The county co-operates with the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, English Golf and the Midlands Golf Union in the management of amateur golf in the county, region and nationally.

The Northamptonshire Golf Limited is formed from the previous bodies of the Northamptonshire Golf Union (NGU), Northamptonshire Golf Partnership (NGP), the Northamptonshire Ladies County Golf Association (NLCGA) and working with the Northamptonshire Professional Golfers Association (NPGA).  It also has a close associations with the Societies of Northamptonshire Golf Captains and the Vets.
