Ladies Vets 2nd v Leicestershire & Rutland match

Monday 30th July 2018 at Ullesthorpe GC

After all the rain we had on the Sunday before our match on the Monday, I was hoping that the sun would shine, it turned out to be a very nice day, sunny and not to hot. Avis the Leicestershire Captain and myself sorted out the order of play, and wrote the cards out, which I then gave out to my team of Ladies.
Unfortunately one of my Ladies had to pull out at the last minute, which meant that I was playing, so I decided to go out first with Pat Ward .
Arriving at the first tee we had a very nice gentleman starter, he told me to hit my ball to the left of the pond, OK I thought not a problem, I hit a lovely tee shot straight into the pond! Good job my partner was on form.
 We had 2 great Ladies that we played with, Julie and Christine. It turned out in conversation with Julie, that we both lived in the same village in Buckinghamshire at the same time. Small world! 
When all the Ladies were finished, we then went to the Hotel for dinner, speeches from the Captains were made, and after a long day we all went home.
Thank you to all the Ladies that played today, and thank you to Jane Ross who stepped in at the last minute for the team.
