2019 Ladies Vets 2nd v Leicestershire match
Monday 5th August at Wellingborough GC
I arrived at Wellingborough to meet Leicestershire's captain Annette O`Meara.
Once again the weather was perfect for playing the match. Both teams all arrived and had coffee before they played.
Annette and myself sat down and wrote the cards out in order of play, we then went to the first tee to see them all off, all the ladies were in fine humour and very happy.
When we had seen them off Annette and myself played the back nine together and we had a good laugh and chat, we both had said how we enjoyed playing nine holes.
We hadn't been back in the club house long when the ladies started to came in with their results.
Leicestershire and Northamptonshire ladies commented on how well the course played and how they all enjoyed playing.
We sat down to a lovely meal which was a two course cold buffet, again all the ladies commented on such a lovely spread.
At this point I would like to give Wellingborough a very big thank you for letting hold the match at their club and for the wonderful food and hospitality.
Thank you to all the ladies for playing.
The final result was Northamptonshire 6 ½ Leicestershire 1 ½
