2019 Ladies Vets 3rd v Staffordshire match

Monday 20th May at Delapre GC

I arrived at Delapre to Greet Christine Davis the immediate Past Captain of Staffordshire, also our President Jane Ross.

We then sat down to sort out the order of play, handed cards to the players and preceded to the 1st tee to see them off.

The weather was very sunny but not to warm.

The order of play was as follows;

Doreen Morrison and Anita Smith who were first off, with Gill Leppard and Sue Simpson going 2nd,Liz Titheridge and Katie Aston 3rd, Shirley Swan and Paula Simpson 4th, Theresa Amalfitano and Margaret Seed 5th, Hennie Cordner and Lorrie Summers 6th, Bryony Travill and Wendy Francis 7th, and the last pairing was Anne Wenham and Barbara Hignett.

Christine, Jane and myself sat in the club house for a while, then walked up to the 9thGreen, as they walked to the 10thTee, we had a quick chat to see how they were getting on and at the turn it was close.

When the match was finished we all sat down to a lovely meal and both Captains made their speeches.

The Final Result was Staffordshire 5 ½ Northamptonshire 2 ½

All enjoyed the day and the meal

I would like to thank Delape Golf Centre for letting us hold the match on their course, also Ashley for the lovely meal and all the staff for looking after us also all the Ladies who played.
