Seniors Anglian/Midland League v Cambridgeshire
Peterborough Milton GC, 13TH May 2019
A beautiful May day saw the start of our 2019 season on a fantastically presented golf course (the best greens to date). The team got off to a good start with the foursomes drawn at 2 1/2 each in the Anglian League and one in front with 3 1/2 in the Midland League. However a Cambridgeshire team just took the afternoon singles resulting in a narrow defeat in both leagues. However congratulations are due to our new players in the team Aide Firman and Brendon Moss who managed to take 2 1/2 out of 3 in their first outing and super sub Ted Dunn with 2 out of 2.Not the start we would have wanted however it would seem that all the counties will be stronger this year, so it will likely be a very close run affair .Many thanks to the players.
