Friendly v Warwickshire

Kingsthorpe  GC June 24th 2019

The day started with the concern of thunderstorms liable to happen anytime during the day. However, surprisingly the day saw only a few spots of rain and far more sunshine.

Kingsthorpe was in great condition and as usual we recieved a very warm welcome from everyone at the club.

We got off to a a good start in the morning greensomes, winning 3 and halving 2 matches to go 4v2 ahead.

The afternoon betterballs were some what closer with 3 games going to each side on what was a very competitive day. This resulted in an overall 10v8 score in Northamptonshire's favour.

A big thank you to the Kingsthorpe team as we were looked after  extremely well, and as usualthe food was excellent.

Finally a huge thanks to Mark and his Warwickshire team for an excellent competitive and friendly game, I look forward to the return match next year.
