The County Team travelled to Birstall GC, Leics last Friday/Saturday to join 9 other Midlands Counties in the Six Man qualifier for the English County Championship.
After the first round we held second place behind a Warwickshire team that was on fire.
We dropped away slightly in round 2 but finished in 5th place out of 10, just ahead of Lincs. A welcome return to the County Team from Charlie Salter and Harry Oddy and good performances from Jack Brown, Miles Mudge, Jensen Parfitt and Mark Stockdale.
Next County matches are against Norfolk, with First Team at home at Overstone Park and the Seconds away at Wensum Valley.
