2021 Ladies Vets 1st v Leicestershire & Rutland match

28th June at Glen Gorse GC

The Northants Vets 1st Team were in action at Glen Gorse GC which is a parkland course south of Leicester City and prepared to go into battle for the first of two matches this week.  The course was in very good condition and the rain stayed away for most of the day which is always a bonus.  

Two of the first three pairs won their matches convincingly (Carol Gibbs and Alison Irvine, Ros Cuthbert and Charlie Astbury) and a further win at match 6 (Lema Townsend and Sophie O’Brien) gave Northants a respectable match score of 5 to 3.   Leicestershire & Rutland were excellent hosts on the day, we look forward to returning the favour next year.

A very big thank you to our President, Jane Ross who came to cheer us on, she has been a great supporter at many matches in her time as President.  She is about to stand down as our President and is a hard act to follow.
