2021 Ladies 2nd v Warwickshire

Monday 19th July at Rugby GC

Taking over as 2nd team ladies captain in 2019 it was excellent to have my first match on Monday 19th July at Rugby Golf Club v Warwickshire. The standard of golf on a quirky course in extreme heat was superb .
At lunch the match was poised at 1.5 points each with a fine Foursomes win from Millie Billson and Katie Amos, a cliff hanger from Eloise Feely and Chelsey Sharp earning them a draw and a nail biting loss on the 18th hole for Amanda Rawson and Lorraine Gilder
Amy Nunn was introduced into the afternoon singles and she was joined by Chelsey and Eloise to win their matches. Lorraine , Katie and Amanda may have lost their singles , but the team can feel very proud of a resolute performance that earned them a draw.
Thanks to Richard Sharp and Diane Amos for their help and to Rugby Golf Club for their hospitality and providing a stern test of golf .
