2021 Ladies Vets 2nd v Bedfordshire match

Monday 9th August at Rushden GC

The last match of the season was always going to be doubtful, given the weather forecast and it was not long before the rain stopped play.  The first group had reached the 6th hole when the groundsman declared the course unplayable and the message was passed back through the first few holes that the match was abandoned.

All credit to Rushden staff who brought forward the after match meal allowing everyone to get home much earlier than expected.  

Thank you to the Northants ladies who played and despite getting soaked, took it all in good part.

I would like to thank everyone who took part in the 9 matches this season, the opposing teams and their captains, our Vets committee, Jane Ross, Lizzie Crow, Jackie Rolfe and Liz Waine for their support during the year, in particular, Carol Collins who worked so hard in organising the teams and had the unenviable job of selecting who to leave out.

I would also like to thank the four Clubs across the County who hosted the matches for us and provided us with the opportunity to host 6 other Counties within the Midlands Region.
