2021 Ladies Vets 3rd v Staffordshire match
Tuesday 25th May at Sandwell Park GC
The Northants Vets Third Team travelled to Sandwell Park in West Bromwich to play their first match of the season against Staffordshire Lady Vets. After several days of rain and some doubt as to whether the course would be even open, the sun came out and the day stayed miraculously dry all day.
Our Third Team is very well supported with the majority of Northants Vets falling into the handicap bracket for the team and we were able to field a full squad albeit with a few last minute changes, I would like to thank our Match Secretary, Carol Collins, for her hard work in fulfilling the fixture.
Sandwell Park is a beautiful course with lots of hidden ditches and spectacular views, well worth a visit. The staff and members were very welcoming and seemed happy to turn over their course to the match which Staffordshire won by 6 games to 2.
