Friendly v Warwickshire

The Moor Hall course was looking glorious in ther morning sunshine as we approached the clubhouse. It was just as impressive when we got onto the course with well manicured greens and remodelled bunkers. Warwickshire are always a strong side and even in a friendly match we knew to expect stiff competition.

Warwickshire got off to a good start winning two of the morning greensomes, the remaining matches being evenly divided. Narrow wins for Jim Tricklebank & Miick Barnett also Rob Price & Simon Orrey ensured that Warwickshire's lead was restricted to 4-2.

However despite the afternoon fourballs starting with a win for Alan Freeman & Gary Grinmmit. 9 of the 10 remaining points went to Warwickshire who won the match 13-5
