1st team v Leicestershire 

The Mens 1st Team welcomed Leicestershire on a beautiful sunny September Sunday in the last game of the 2023 campaign at the stunning Overstone Golf Club in what would be an absolute thriller of an encounter.

The morning Foursomes started with the first pairing of Torin Little & Jensen Parfitt, who would go on to win 1 up against Richard Wale who had previously been unbeaten throughout 2023. The rest of the morning sessions were very tight with Taylor Sargent bringing in another half. Northants went into lunch down 1.5 v 2.5 but everyone knew the afternoon singles were there for the taking.

Torin once again led the charge in the afternoon singles and added his second point of the day with an eagle on the 18th which saw him complete the double over Wale.
Taylor and Jensen then followed up with a point apiece with both winning 2 & 1.  With Ryan gaining a half. Northamptonshire were looking at an incredible comeback.  Unfortunately it wasn't to be as the next three games could have gone either way but all eventually went in favour of Leicestershire.  In the final game it came down to the
final putt on the 18th to finish what had been an incredible backwards and forwards tussle which would see Leicestershire piping Northamptonshire 7 v 5 respectively.
Not the ending to the season that Northamptonshire wanted but so many positives to take into 2024.
