Holme Hall Golf Club in Lincolnshire was our destination for our first 1st Team way game of the
New season. The whole Northants team went onto the game with increased confidence after
A very impressive win v Norfolk and the encouraging signs seen at Seacroft.
Torin lead us off in the morning alongside George and the whole team were in for a very cut and
thrust morning session with some incredibly tight matches that swung one way and another time and time again.
It was exciting to watch so god knows what it felt to play in.
Ultimately a few different decisions at different times could have swung the morning session a different
way but we say ourselves 3-1 down going into lunch. Fraser & Lee put in a fantastic shift grabbing our
Only point from the morning on the 18th green.
We went into the afternoon session knowing everything was still to play for but it would take a huge effort.
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be as Lincolnshire who had fielded a very strong team just proved a nut too
Tough to crack.
Several of the matches finishes early with some big losses but Torn came in with a nice 3&2 win and once
again Jack Brown delivered with a 4&3 win.
A huge shout out to Lee Hitchcock as he so nearly backed up his pairs win in the morning with another point or
Half in the afternoon but lost on the 18th in an incredibly tight game where at one point he came back from 3
Down.
Northants went down to a 9-3 Loss so a weekend to forget but we live to fight another day.
