1st team v Norfolk 

On a beautiful May's morning at Northampton Golf Club the 1st Team hosted Norfolk.
To kick off the 2023 season after a Winter of training, coaching and two really promising performances in recent friendlies.
Jack Brown and Ryan Jenner lead the charge in match 1 and set the tone of High Performance for the rest of the day.  
The morning saw some great Partnerships throughout the Northamptonshire team with Jensen Parfitt & Taylor Sargeant setting the pace and finishing early with a 4 & 3 win.  Torin Little & Joseph Hyde finally found their putters on the 16th and dominated in from there with a 2 & 1 win.  Jack and Ryan made it 3 points from the morning session finishing 2 up on the 18th.
Northamptonshire started the afternoon singles 3 -1 up and confidence was definitely in abundance across the team.
Taylor Sargeant lead us off in the afternoon's sunshine.  Once again Joseph Hyde delivered a brilliant performance to follow on his morning's win with a 5 & 4 singles win.  Fraser had a exceptional spell of 4 birdies and really turned the screw on his opponent in his singles game to also finish with a 5 & 4 singles win.
With only 2 more points needed for the win it was very much nip and tuck in the remaining matches, however the relentless attitude and the ability to dig deep during some tough moments saw Lee ( 2 up ) and Torin ( 1 up ) grind out wins.  That just left Jack Brown to bring home a real gutsy performance with some typical Brownie short game magic on the 17th and eventually finish 1 Up.
An absolute first class performance from every single player lead to a comprehensive 8 1/2 to 3 1/2 win
