NGL Women's Vets 2nds   match v Lincolnshire

5th June 2023 at Overstone Park GC

On the 5th June the 2nd team played a match against Linclonshire B team at Overstone which had been rescheduled at relatively short notice from Nene Park so we were grateful to Overstone for agreeing to this. The weather the day before had been lovely and we all hoped to have some more sunshine for the match, unfortunately the day was mostly cloudy with a very cold North Easterly wind - not flaming June! Noy sure when summer is going to start.

The team had been subject to many changes in the week before the match but we had a full side. Several of the games went to the final hole as the matches were  fought to the bitter end, having a 17th hole over a lake throws up some interesting tee shots and can ruin what was a good card until then. In the end though the Lincs ladies were just too good for us and the match result was Northamptonshire 0.5 v Lincolnshire 7.5.
