NGL Past Captain's match v Warwickshire

8th June 2023 at Handsworth GC

Situated 3.5 miles North West of Birmingham City center lies an oasis of green space surrounded by bricks and mortar, founded in 1895.

Weather was very good with temperatures around 18/20c with light winds helping to keep us cool.

Probably the longest travel time for a one-day competition, but the welcome was first class, club house was of the old school design.

The day started with the usual chips & sandwiches followed by the announcement of team pairings. 

The course was in excellent condition with the current club captain declaring that the average green speed would be approximately 9-10!!

Post match dinner was Beef lasagne severed with chips and green salad; dessert was an old match favourite Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream.
