Friendly Seniors Match v Bedfordshire

The teams assembled as usual at around 9am what was very apparent to all, we were in for a good day's golf. The sun was shining and the view from the Club house balcony was spectacular, the wet spring had produced a green carpet of lush grass on the fairways. The course looked fabulous even better the green staff were cutting new holes just before we went out.

The morning session produced a three all draw with two wins for each side and two halved matches.

The afternoon was set, with the first two matches going our way, followed by a half in the third game. 

All was looking promising, however, Bedfordshire put up a flight winning the next two matches.

Down to the last game unfortunately the thumps up from a black shirt on the 18th meant we had lost the day 8/10 points.

The standard and presentation of the course was high, demonstrated by the last match where Bedfordshire produced seven birdies in the first 12 holes!
