East Anglian MGU Seniors Match v Suffolk

The new season starts with renewed optimism however after our first game of the Anglian league our poor foursomes record still remains.

Suffolk hosted us at Stowmarket Golf Club that was very well presented with the rough being very penal. Winter rules were still in play and we did have rain but we luckily  avoided the forecasted thunder and lightning.

We came up against a very good Suffolk team who have strength and depth in their squad. We had a few injuries and illness that required changes in the team and unfortunately we had to forfeit a game in the morning foursomes. I would like to thank Dean McIntyre would was able to fill in at the last minute to play in the afternoon singles.

Losing the morning foursomes 5-0 always put pressure on the afternoon singles however we were able to compete at the top of the order but Suffolks depth eventually told.

We now regroup and look to gain a positive results against L&R at Kilworth Springs on Tuesday 16th.
