NGL W omen's Vets 1st team  match v Lincolnshire

On Monday 3rd June the Northamptonshire Ladies Vets 1st Team played a match against Lincolnshire Ladies Vets 1st Team at Peterborough Milton Golf Club. Fortunately for the ladies the temperature was a pleasant 19C and the sun occasionally came out from behind the grey clouds and there was no rain. The course looked lovely and the ladies all agreed that it was in good condition, with the greens being tricky and the bunkers, due to the abundance of fluffy sand, hard to get out of.

Many of the matches were very close with several being halved on the 18th whilst others were not so close - one went our way courtesy of an eagle and two birdies by our ladies which was hard for the opposition to come back from. Milton provided a very nice meal of homemade chicken kiev, new potatoes and salad which was very welcome and very filling.

Overall the result was a satisfying 5 - 3 win for Northamptonshire.
