MIXED RESULTS FOR NORHAMPTONSHIRE COUNTY GIRLS
Northants County GC hosted the county girls annual match v Warwickshire on a warm Sunday afternoon. The course was immaculate, and many positive comments were received from Warwickshire.
Lila Bisset led the girls to an overall 6-4 victory.
The scratch team which consisted of all home members took advantage and came home with a 4-1 win. All matches were played in a friendly manner.
Victory against Worcestershire and Herefordshire in July will see the team progress to the regional finals.
All girls in the handicap team had to give considerable shots to a young Warwickshire side. All matches were closely contested, played in good spirit and could have gone either way. Being 2-2 it all rested on the final match which was sadly lost to Warwickshire on the final putt. Sadly the handicap team will not qualify for the final.
A good team effort by all involved.
