NGL Captain's Winter meeting

28th March 2024 at Kilworth Spring GC

The meeting was held on 28th March at Kilworth Springs Golf Club.

We had 19 members taking part. It was played as a fourball better-ball stableford, with a draw for partners.

Roy Stanton hadn't played all winter and was happy to have some practice and mark the card for Richard Cole and Steve Drage.

We set off on a cold and windy day with rain forecast later.

Tom Hall who was partnered with Dave Hill suffered a severe nose bleed and had to retire early on.

On reaching the 9th hole the rain was lashing down and together with the cold wind it was decided to make it 9 holes only.

The meal was rearranged for 3.30pm and was roast pork followed by apple pie which everybody enjoyed.
