Friendly Seniors  Match v Staffordshire

30th July 2025 at Sandwell Park GC

Played on a sunny and warm day at Sandwell Park this traditional July provided the usual highly competitive play, coupled with an exceptional friendly atmosphere between the players.

The morning greensomes for once saw the Northamptonshire team take a healthy lead into the afternoon better balls. These were halved six points to each side which meant a superb away win for the Northamptonshire lads.

The highlights of the afternoon play was a 6&5 win for Dennis Mathers and Rob Price and some superb putting in the last match by Terry Henwood and Jon Deakin.

The day concluded with a nice meal, a lot of friendly chatter. The Captains exchanged the usual pleasantries and thanked Sandwell Park for hosting a great day.
