1 |
Entrants will be the Four Better Ball Handicap Champions from each club (runners up/ pair substitutes etc. not eligible) |
2 |
The Competition Committee of the NGU will make the ‘unseeded’ draw. Subject to the number of entrants, a preliminary round will be played to determine the last 16 competitors |
3 |
The host Club players should arrange courtesy for visiting players.(identified on the draw sheet). Any practice rounds and catering, refreshment facilities are at the discretion of the competitors. |
4 |
Matches will be Four Ball Better Ball Match Play played from the Competition tees and must be played over 18 holes or less if a result is reached. |
5 |
Handicap allowance is ¾ difference from the lowest handicap player. Competitors MUST have an ‘active’ handicap on entry to the competition. |
6 |
In the event of a tie sudden death will apply. |
7 |
Distance Measuring Devices are allowed. See Rule of Golf 14/3. |
8 |
Golf Buggies are not allowed without medical exemption and the approval of the Competition Organiser. The use of buggies on Host Clubs Courses is determined by the Host Clubs policy |
9 |
The dates on the published draw must be adhered to and no extensions will be granted. |
10 |
It will be the responsibility of both players on both sides to arrange matches by the dates specified |
11 |
The players winning the round will continue to the next round in the draw. |
12 |
Any difference of opinion or dispute shall be notified to the Union whose decision shall be final. |
13 |
The result of each match must be notified by both Pairings, giving full details and results, to the competition administrator of the Union within two days of the match being played. Failure to comply with this request may result in all players being eliminated from the Knock Out. |
14 |
All Players should be available to play in the Final, which will be played at a venue arranged by the NGU |
15 |
Players are expected to conduct themselves in a proper and sportsmanlike manner. |
16 |
The Union nor The Host or visiting Players can accept responsibility for theft’s and accidents. Players are advised to arrange their own insurance cover against insurable risks. |
