Northamptonshire under-16’s team were involved in a thrilling home friendly at Kingsthorpe GC as the hosts were edged out 8-7.

Impressive performances were recorded by Luis Witherall, Max Hayward, Owen Watts, Jack Peters, Oliver Jones and Joe Quinn, who went on to make his County Men’s First Team debut in a friendly with Warwickshire later in the month.

Northamptonshire juniors' match against the County Captains was cancelled due to the weather.
