Midland Vets Team Championships

The Name of the Game was picking up prizes for the Northamptonshire Ladies as they collected a variety of awards in the Midland Vets Team Championships as two county teams competed at Kings Norton GC.
With a greensome stableford taking place on the first day, Charlie Astbury and Gill Hodgson grabbed the runners-up spot with 38 points, Mary Maclaren shot the best gross score while Gill Hodgson had the leading net round.
Northants, who celebrated their success with an ABBA evening on the final day, won the net prize on day two through Linda Sherry, who joined Ros Cuthbert, Astbury and Hodgson in securing second place for the team.
