NGL Competition update

2020 NGL Competitions update - 12th June 2020 

In the uncertain times of when competitive golf can return to our lives and golf clubs. The NGL board have agreed to continuously review the competitions while progress is being made to return to safe golf.

The decision has been made to cancel the following 2020 events due to the unavailability of new dates and the safety of the players and officials this year -

Ladies Intermediate and Bronze Championships

Girls Four Counties Championship

Ladies The Goodyear Cup

All other competitions are continuing to be reviewed, progress of playing golf is being monitored and the changes and advice regarding social distancing. Course availabilities will be checked to see if any of these can be played later this year. While time continuous to pass this is becoming more difficult due the clubs trying to rearrange their own fixture lists and uncertainties around the Covid virus. Updates will continue to follow with the next one likely the second week of July unless significant changes appear in the meantime. Any competitions which have already been cancelled will show this in the competition title for that event.

The entry fees for the competitions above will be refunded to the players in due course.

It has also been decided to CANCEL the 2020 Leagues, Mens OOM and the KO's for this year due the same reasons as above.

The most important thing is that you all stay safe and please respect all the clubs' advice and help everyone to return to the game we love with lots of passion.
