NGL Centenary Invitation Day is a success

Overstone Park duo Chris Hoy and Georgina Evans combined well with Pat Silburn (Oundle) and home club member Stephen Howitt to clinch the NGL Volunteers Centenary Team Competition at Northants County GC.
In an invitation event to mark 100 years of County golf being played in Northamptonshire, the quartet carded an impressive winning total of 86 points.
Home Scratch Team player Harry Oddy joined forces with Gill Snelson (Wellingborough), Julie Ribano and David Goodrham (both Northampton) to claim second on countback with 82.
Elisabeth Pryke, Linda Simpson (both Wellingborough), Peter Coles (Whittlebury Park) and Wayne Lloyd (Delapre) had to be content with third prize.
