Jon Harris and Ben Lavender winners at the 2023 Scratch Foursomes competition
The first NGL competition of 2023, the Men's Scratch Foursomes, was held at Whittlebury Park on 22nd April. Despite early-morning fog, play started on time for the field of 22 pairs - the largest the competition has ever seen. The winners of the overall event were Ben Lavender (Northampton GC) and Jonathan Harris (Wellingborough) with a 36 hole score of 150. This was a remarkable achievement as the pair were thrown together after the withdrawal of their partners and only met for the first time when they arrived at the venue in the morning.
The prize for the best net score went to Jordan Darnell and Ed Keech (both Kettering) with 149. The full table of prizes is below.
