Northants Players Take Higgs Bowl Net and Gross Prizes

Overstone Park was bathed in spring sunshine on Saturday 30th April as it played host to 156 men competing for annual Higgs Bowl.  Players took advantage of the fine conditions  to return some excellent scores with players from Northants County taking both net and gross prizes.  Ryan Grant held off a challenge from Alfie Masser (Rushden) to win the Higgs Bowl by one shot with an impressive net 65.  Competition for the gross prize was equally fierce with Carl Sainsbury, returning an outstanding four under par 68 to win by one shot over Dan Kennedy from Northampton GC.
