County Girls Scratch Team win 2023 Midlands South Scratch Finals

Northamptonshire Girls Scratch team win against Buckinghamshire in the Midlands South 2023 Scratch Finals held at Stourbridge on the 31st August.

Northamptonshire girls have proven they are determined competitors by winning the 2023 Midlands South Girls Scratch League Trophy.  Having secured their place in the final by winning all their matches enroute they knew it wasn't going to be straightforward to win against Buckinghamshire and would have to give it their all.

Scores didn't seem to be with us in the early stages with us down in all matches however, the girls fought hard with Lila Bisset winning the 1st point on the 18th green, shortly followed by Olivia Holyoak-Church winning 2 & 1. With the other matches still out on the course the next 2 points went to Buckinghamshire and with a 2/2 score it was down to Eleanor Hamilton who had won her previous 4 holes to bring her match to one down with 2 to play - she dug deep to win the 17th with all to play for and securing the winning point on the 18th green to seal a 3/2 win.

Congratulations to all the girls who did themselves and the County proud.
