Lila Bisset wins Girl's County Knockout Championship

This year's Girl's NGL Championship Knockout drew to a dramatic conclusion when Northants County members Lila Bisset and Eloise Feely met to contest the final at their home club.  Lila took an early lead winning the first two holes but Eloise soon fought back and by the 6th tee they were tied again.  Exchanging the next four holes, they remained tied at half way, Eloise then took the initiative winning the 10th and 12th.  Lila won the 15th to reduce the deficit and, when dormy 1 down, showed great composure and birdied the 18th to take the match to sudden death.  It wasn't until the third extra hole, when nerves were starting to show, that Lila finally clinched victory.  This follows hot on the heels of her win in the gross category of last weeks Roses Autumn Cup.  It is a tribute to both girls that they were each 1 over par after 18 holes in tough autumn conditions.
