There was little to choose between the two sides early on as Ashby’s James Wallis took the opening tie 3&2, Rob Munro-Hall responded with a win on the 18th, before the next two games were halved.

Although Adam Ashenden recorded a 3&2 success for the Group A winners it was the last success for Ashby as Neil Brown, Scott O'Connor and Neil Thompson clinched the last three points for Milton.
