Bell finds top form Justin time during Higgs Bowl

Justin Bell kept the big numbers off his scorecard over the closing stretch of holes at Kingsthorpe Golf Club to win the NGL Higgs Bowl on countback.
The Priors Hall member compiled a round of net 69 in the first major of the county season to edge out Farthingstone’s Liam Saunders and Wellingborough’s Rob Camplisson, who was chasing a second victory after lifting the title five years earlier.
Graham Bott’s first competition representing his new club Wellingborough ended in glory as he claimed the gross prize with a three-over-par 72.
With early points at stake for the 2016 NGL Order of Merit, home club member Mark Bazeley was two shots back in second, with Ryan Genner (Priors Hall) in third position after a 75.
