Northamptonshire Boys team will represent the Midlands for the second successive year in the England Golf Boys County Championships after winning the qualifying competition at Kidderminster Golf Club.
The team, who recorded their best ever finish of second place in the 2015 national finals, will be looking to go one better this season after they finished an incredible 14 strokes clear of Staffordshire.
Charlie Salter led the way as the 16-year-old carded five birdies in both his rounds to shoot the leading individual total of one-under-par 143.
But with all six scores to count towards the overall team total, Salter was backed up by county team-mates Callum Farr, Tom Forster, Ben Jones, Fergus Robinson and Luke Barney, who all contributed.
Managed by Adam Myers, the team will now compete on behalf of the Midlands region in the national finals at Cumberwell Park Golf Club in Wiltshire on August 23-25.
