Connollys combine perfectly in Stableford Cup

Ashley Connolly joined forces with his son Ryan to win the NGL Stableford
Cup over 36 holes on their home course at Wellingborough.
An excellent greensomes tally of 43 points in wet and windy morning
conditions set them on their way to victory as they grabbed the plaudits
with a betterball score of 40 in the afternoon.
Sam Bird (Farthingstone) and Richard Hook (Collingtree) came closest to
snatching the top prize as they added 43 points to their morning score of 39
to seal second place.
On a good day for the home club, Andrew Cox and Dan Nixson (76) finished
third by one from County President Roger Butler and Gary Grimmitt.
