Local knowledge proved decisive in the Seniors Pairs Open as Wellingborough duo Kevin Turner and Steve Crawley triumphed on their home course.
After carding a net eagle and three net birdies in the opening seven holes, the home pair went on to finish two points clear of the pack with a tally of 41.
Three net birdies in the last four holes helped Peterborough Milton’s Richard Cole and Paul Armitage grab second prize on countback from County President Roger Butler and Ian Marshall (both Wellingborough).
